My Violin is a unique, easy and fun way for kids ages 6 and up to learn to play the violin.

An animated character named Val the Violin guides kids through over 160 lessons authored and presented by professional violinist Sabina Skalar, M.M. My Violin covers basics such as holding & tuning the violin and playing rhythmic tunes, and moves on to playing songs, reading music notation and much more. An animated fingerboard shows kids where to put their fingers as the live recorded audio plays. Also included are adjustable-speed MIDI tracks, so kids can learn at their own pace. Recorded voice and accompaniment tracks provide exciting options to have fun with. Games get children excited about learning while giving them a chance to build confidence by practicing their new musical skills.


Built-in tools help make learning easier. The revolutionary new Finger Tracker tool listens to the violin as you play and shows whether your fingers are placed correctly. Animated Fingerboard

The animated fingerboard shows fingerings as the music plays so kids can easily follow along. Double-clicking on any note will also show them where to put their fingers.

Animated Finger Tracker

Finger Tracker listens to your child’s playing and shows them whether their fingers are in the right place on the fingerboard. A great tool for helping them learn and remember notes!

Automatic Tuner

Using either the computer’s built-in microphone or an external one, your child can get tuned up quickly and easily with the built-in interactive tuner. They can just line up the arrow with the right string and be in tune!

Full-motion videos

The lessons are easy to follow with our large-format videos, featuring split-screens and close-ups that guide kids through songs and playing techniques.

Interactive Games

Games help children learn notes and songs by reviewing what they learned in the lessons. By interacting with the playful characters and scenes, kids will have fun while learning music!

Recorder
