The Storyteller’s Bag is a collection of three tales inspired by the legends of the native Ojibway people and features the voice talent of Lorne Cardinal (“Corner Gas” TV series) as well as all-new chamber music written for young audiences. The album’s title refers to the Ojibway tradition where each storyteller had a bag containing items that would serve as reminders of their stories.

Inspired by Ojibway legends of Mississauga’s first people and supported by a generous grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, CMSM Artistic Director Peggy Hills created and produced The Storyteller’s Bag as an outreach educational program to fire the imaginations of the Mississauga community with an exciting mix of chamber music, theatre, and Aboriginal storytelling.
