Adding MIDI backgrounds helps students learn to play with
accompaniments, keep a steady rhythm, and have more fun playing music. Many of
us use MIDI files in our studios with our digital pianos and with
Home Concert Xtreme software to help students learn and practice music at home or during
their lab time. Unfortunately, floppy disks are becoming outdated and publishers
are still producing floppy disks even though our computers don't have floppy
drives anymore and our pianos come equipped with USB.
Good News! Keys to Imagination has solved this by offering MIDI files on
USB Flash Drives. These drives will contain the albums or
collections YOU choose!
Instead of a drawer full of floppy disks, you will now have one portable USB
Flash Drive to use with your piano, computer or even take with you to church or
recital hall.

The orchestrations created especially for Piano Adventures® and the PreTime® to BigTime® Piano Supplementary Library are distinctive and unique. The accompaniments feature the instrumentation of the marching band, Baroque chamber group, jazz ensemble, chamber orchestra, rock group, etc. Students not only benefit from exposure to the sounds of these ensembles, but have the opportunity to play along. For many students, the orchestrations will be an introduction to these ensemble sounds. And, hopefully, the orchestrations will inspire many toward ensemble playing in the future. The General MIDI format offers teachers and students: the option of modifying tempos without changing pitch; and the ability to isolate parts, solo, or mute selected instruments to match individual practice needs.
